ELID started its manufacturing facilities in Malaysia in 1989. This factory began upgrading its PCB to use SMD components in 1997, and now has full SMD assembly facilities including automatic computer-based pick-and-place assembly lines.
In 1999, the Malaysian factory achieved ISO9002 certification. In 2002, it achieved ISO9001:2000 certification. This certification covers all areas of operation of ELID, and includes R&D, manufacturing, sales and technical support.
In 2000, a new factory was started in Guangzhou to take advantage of the many
support industries and skilled manpower in the Southern region of China.
ELID regularly engages Japanese Consultants to implement continuous quality improvement program and to ensure that its product are not only of high quality, but competitively priced.
